About the Author
Ken Kirsh delivers insights and strategies to help people navigate their lives with more joy and less stress.
After years studying psychology in the classroom and in the wild, Ken Kirsh built a successful career as an award-winning live event producer for Fortune 500 companies. In addition to producing hundreds of corporate meetings and events, he has produced segments for the Winter Olympics, The Philadelphia Eagles Superbowl Ceremony, and the worldwide broadcast of Pope Francis’s U.S. tour.
Given his years of experience with numerous industries, diverse cultures, and employees at every level, Ken observed an astonishingly consistent collection of self-sabotaging behaviors and a lack of soft skills among employees and managers alike.
Witnessing these behaviors in the workplace, such as being too controlling, acting entitled, poor interpersonal skills, and working in silos, drove him mad–to the point he was compelled to write the first book in the Crush It!™ series, an indispensible collection of 50 soft skill strategies they don’t teach in school or train at work.
A longtime reader of personal development books, he sensed an appetite for dense, rich, useful information that could be delivered in a format closer to the internet, social media and the irrefutable dopamine culture we’re all a part of, like it or not, young or old.
The format had to be concise and colorful, while delivering rich, practical content with a casual, fun voice. It soon became apparent this approach needed to be a series, not a one-off. A brand that would help people navigate their lives in a variety of areas, extending to other self-help categories. All with a light-hearted but deadly serious amount of information and guidance. Crush It!™ At Dating, the second book in the series, is scheduled for release in early 2026.
